February 19, 2008: My Starting Point

Three years have passed since my newborn son died shortly after birth. I really was not aware of or even cared about my well being. I didn’t purposely become this way, but I believe subconsciously with the grief and depression that comes from losing a loved one, I just let myself go. I really feel like a slug. I weigh 229 pounds . With the opportunity to lose weight with The Diet Systems, I have all the motivation I need and am ready emotionally and physically to return to a healthier state of well-being.

April 25, 2008: I’m Half Way There

Prior to starting my weight loss journey, I was not doing any exercise. I am now jogging 3-4 times per week, lifting weights 4-5 times per week during the evenings, and sticking to a consistent diet including a Shake with breakfast and lunch. The Diet System has really changed some of my eating habits and it shows - my weight is now 197.* I never remembered what it felt like running below 200 pounds, and feel more alert, have more energy and seem to have a confidence that had been missing.*

June 30, 2008: My Results

Wow! The last time I weighed 174 pounds, I was a freshman in college. My sleeping is now back to normal, instead of waking up several times a night as I had been these past few years.* Today, I feel and look healthier and I love having my strength and flexibility back.* But most importantly, I realize now that every day is a blessing. I can’t imagine not being here for my kids and want to do everything I can to make sure that happens. Every day is a gift.

Success tips:

  1. Make exercise a fun part of your day.
  2. Eat more in the morning, rather than at night and drink lots of water.
  3. Set goals. You’re more likely to stick to them if you write down the goals and share them with others. Then revisit your goals on a weekly basis so you can modify and adjust them as needed.

My weight loss reward: I’d love to buy a motorcycle.
