Studio Policies
General Policy
- All sessions are by scheduled appointment only.
- In order to confirm your first session, advanced payment is required. First time appointments are confirmed and held with a credit card, which won’t be charged as long as all cancellation policies are met.
- All future sessions require advance payment or can be deducted from a purchased multi-session package.
- Please arrive early for your first session to fill out necessary paper work. Or print it from our website, and bring it with you at the first session.
- In consideration of others and for your own safety, no smoking or gum chewing in the studio. Please limit the use of perfumes and strong deodorants.
- Classical pilates is performed with no music, occasionally your instructor may choose to play light music. This is an instructor option, please don’t request loud or beat filled music, this is best saved for your aerobics class.
- No shoes to be worn around studio.
- For your safety, bare feet are recommended. If you prefer to wear socks, ToeSox or grip socks are recommended.
- Trainers maybe substituted without notice.
Cancellation Policy
- The cancellation charge is ONE full session fee.
- Cancellations must be left on the studio phone number (818) 889-8008. You cannot cancel by e-mail or texting, only. A message must be left on the studio phone.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late and we haven’t heard from you, you are considered a No Show and you forfeit the session. All charges apply.
- All appointments must be canceled 24 hours before the appointment, to avoid full charge for the reserved session. THIS POLICY WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
- Any rescheduling after the 24 hour cancellation policy, is considered a late cancellation and a new appointment.
- If less than 24 hours is given, as a courtesy, the studio extends ONE emergency cancellation at no charge, every 6 months. For reasons including but not limited to: illness, child care issues, car troubles, business appointment, etc. (6 months are defined as Jan-June and July-Dec)
- If you cancel your on-going regular time-slot frequently, at the discretion of the studio, reserved time-slots will be reassigned.
- If a partner for a duet does not show or cancels late, all charges will remain payable as scheduled for all parties involved.
- If a partner on a duet wishes to cancels WITH notice, it is up to the canceling client to notify their partner, giving them the option of taking the lesson at the private rate or rescheduling the session. The studio is not responsible for rescheduling duet sessions. It is the responsibility of the partners.
- Introductory Seminars (lasting 6 consecutive sessions) must be canceled by noon 5 days before the first class meeting. No refunds are available after this time. And no make-ups are guaranteed.
Purchased Package Refund and Transfer Policy
- Since you are receiving a substantial discount, purchased packages are non refundable.
- As a courtesy for you, we are happy to change packages from one type to another, for the same student (i.e.. a package of privates to a package of duets). Additional funds may be required.
- Packages are non-transferable among students, including spouses.
- Pivotal Motion Pilates packages are valid until the date written on your contract. No transfers will be given past that time. If no contract is signed, packages are valid for 3 months after the date of purchase.
- For emergencies or life changes packages may be frozen for up to 3 months. Certain restrictions apply.
Small Group Workout Policy
- All classes are on a first come first serve policy.
- Workouts must be canceled 24 hours before the appointment, to avoid full charge for the reserved session. THIS POLICY WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
- Workouts not meeting the minimum requirement of 2 persons, maybe be subject to cancellation at anytime.
- For maximum results, class flow, and safety, a minimum number of 5 privates or completion of our 6 Week Beginning Equipment Workshop, is required before booking small group workouts.
- For your safety, if you are more than 10 minutes late, you may not be allowed into class.
- Those with physical limitations may not be eligible for group workouts.
- It is the clients responsibility to confirm or cancel reservations in on-going workout groups.
Trio Policy
- Trios run in 4 week sessions. All sessions are consecutive.
- There are no make-ups. However, if another trio has a cancellation that same week, it is possible to jump into the open spot. This is not guaranteed and is considered unlikely.
- If 3 people are not available for the start of the next session, the remaining two will be invited to make a duet (at the duet price) until a third person is found, if they decline, the trio will be canceled until a third person is found.
Duet Policy
- Sometimes a partner needs to miss an appointment. The cancellation policy rules apply. However if the other partner wishes to continue with the appointment time, additional $25 charge will be assessed. This is an upgrade fee, from a duet to a private. Or if they have private package one will be deducted from their package.
- Sometimes you want to add a friend to your private session. You will be charge your full private price AND assessed a $35 charge for your friend. This is a courtesy to you, and NOT our normal duet policy. Prior approval must be obtained from your instructor
- 24 hour cancellation policy is still in effect for both partners, in order to avoid charges.
